Where does Recovery come from?

Unbelievable Recovery Water has a published source in the East Sea off Sokcho, South Korea, at approximately 510 meters (about 1,673 feet). Explore the source journey.

Source depth is part of its provenance, not proof that contaminants cannot be present. The final bottled product must be assessed through its treatment and product-specific testing, not the appeal of its location alone.

What minerals are listed for Recovery?

The manufacturer’s August 5, 2025 inspection records:

• Magnesium: 60.85–60.90 mg/L across four checks
• Calcium: 19.88–20.12 mg/L across four checks
• Sodium: 17.57 mg/L
• Potassium: 16.67 mg/L

The same inspection recorded pH 6.59–6.71. Separately, the preliminary Eurofins December 2025 sample record reports TDS 410 mg/L by SM 2540C and pH 6.1. The Gangwon July 2025 sample lists total solids 457 mg/L and pH 6.0; total solids and TDS are different measurements.

The concentrations are per-liter figures, not amounts in every bottle size; pH is a separate measurement. The composition section identifies the historical manufacturer record. These samples do not establish the exact composition of every current lot.

Body-Inspired Mineral Balance™ and the approximate Mg / Ca / K “3 to 1 to 1” description are brand language. Use the measured concentrations for calculations; the slogan is not an exact measured ratio or evidence of a match to blood plasma or superior cellular hydration.

Is deep-sea water bottled without treatment?

No. A deep-sea source description should not be read as a claim that the bottle contains untreated seawater. It also does not explain each step of desalination or mineral handling.

The precise distinction between minerals present in the source, retained during treatment, or recombined during processing requires the manufacturer's process specification. For ingredient or manufacturing questions that affect your purchase, consult the current product label and contact us for product-specific documentation. Detailed claims about desalination, mineral handling, or dissolved oxygen should be supported by the relevant process records and measurements.

What testing information can I see?

The Recovery summaries on our Certifications page identify PFAS, microplastics, drinking-water-quality, and mineral analyses. They name laboratories and include report identifiers where available.

The available Eurofins record, job 380-188240-1, is itself preliminary, generated December 29, 2025 for a sample collected December 10. Request the applicable final record for a decision that depends on a specific analyte, sample date or reporting limit.

These records also should not be confused with a claim that every substance is monitored continuously. Laboratory sampling and in-process production checks are different activities.

Is the water microplastic-free or PFAS-free?

The supported wording is narrower. The preliminary Eurofins EPA 537.1 panel reports 18 PFAS compounds as ND, with a 2.0 ng/L reporting limit for each. KIAST report 25KA0156, issued August 21, 2025, reports no particles greater than 45 micrometers detected in a 2.5 L sample, using an in-house method referencing ISO/FDIS 16094-2.

Those findings do not establish the absence of every PFAS, smaller microplastics, or nanoplastics. Results are limited by the panel, method, reporting thresholds, and sample. They are not a guarantee for every production lot. See what our testing summary shows for a guide to those boundaries.

What is the packaging?

The current Recovery listing shows 500 mL bottles in a 20-bottle case. Check the package and product listing for the format you are buying. Recycling instructions depend on the container, closure, and local collection program; a material name alone does not tell you what your municipality accepts.

Packaging is not a substitute for testing, and a microplastics result should not be extrapolated into a guarantee about every material-contact condition.

Is it only for athletes?

No. You can choose it as an everyday bottled water, including for meals, travel, or a water tasting. The brand name Recovery is not a promise of faster muscle repair or injury prevention.

Plain drinking water contributes to hydration. If you have a prescribed fluid or mineral restriction, use your clinician's advice and the relevant product information. We do not set a daily Unbelievable bottle quota. CDC: water and daily intake

How should I compare the taste?

Try two waters side by side in clean, identical glasses at the same temperature. Note your own impressions before reading the labels. Mineral figures can inform the comparison, but they cannot dictate what you will enjoy.
